Sorry if this is off-topic, but the reflection aspect is what really makes birthday readings work for me. Biddy Tarot has a 12-card spread that covers both lessons from your past year and what’s coming up next. That dual focus gives it a completeness that shorter spreads sometimes miss.

I think I read somewhere you don’t like longer spreads like this because they’re just messy and harder to read than they’re worth, but I did see you just posted [a new 7-card spread](https://forum.thetarot.guru/t/tarot-spread-for-guidance-a-7-card-read-for-when-you-need-direction/865) too. I probably wouldn’t do 12 cards normally, but maybe once a year isn’t too bad? Gives you plenty of time to go over the meaning.
