What if the cards actually prefer different shuffles based on what question you’re asking? Like, imagine doing a riffle shuffle for a love reading and the Lovers card is just there thinking ‘whoa, slow down, this needs more tenderness!’
I get the professional angle, but what if looking too slick with the shuffle actually creates distance between you and the querent? Sometimes that slightly awkward, heartfelt overhand shuffle where you’re really focusing on their question creates more trust than a Vegas-dealer riffle.

Okay this is wild - I literally JUST pulled the Four of Swords in my morning draw and it was all about breathing and finding stillness!
