From what I’ve seen, tarot is better at surfacing emotional undercurrents and patterns than giving exact dates. It runs on symbols and themes more than a calendar.
For timing, I’ve had slightly better luck using the seasonal suits - Wands = spring, Cups = summer, Swords = fall, Pentacles = winter - and the card numbers as rough weeks in that season. Still not fully convinced any timing method is reliable.
Calendars and tarot don’t… mix well.
I’ve tried timing questions and they’re tough. What works better for me is asking for markers instead of dates. Like ‘what happens right before this?’ Then I lay cards in a line, with left/closer meaning sooner and right/farther meaning later.
If I need actual numbers, I draw until I get a pip card and read the 1-10 as days or weeks, depending on the suit. Wands are fast, pentacles are slow, that kind of thing. Self-read bias is a problem though. I started having someone else shuffle on video while I read the cards. Keeps me from seeing what I want to see.
