I don’t see it through a religious lens either. With Mercury retrograde bringing old connections back, I read Judgement as a rebirth, a reset.
Pluto transits can push big shifts too, like shedding an old skin. The whole “life after death” vibe emerges during retrogrades when people show up as different versions of themselves.
