I have this weird thing where I keep my tarot deck wrapped up because I’m convinced my runes will somehow ‘steal’ energy from the Major Arcana cards if I leave them together overnight.
Hey! If you’re looking for rune-integrated decks, check out the Dreams of Gaia Tarot. It has that primal symbol energy even though it doesn’t use traditional runes. Norse Tarot by Clive Barrett is another good fusion deck if you want something that combines both systems more directly.
I’ve been casting runes for years alongside tarot, and the main difference is that runes give you straight answers. No metaphors or symbols to interpret - just direct messages. That’s why I love combining them with tarot cards. When my deck is being vague or I’m getting confused by all the imagery, I’ll pull a rune for clarity. Works pretty well for me.
I’ve been combining both for years. The ‘which system is better’ debate drives me a little nuts. They’re tools, not religions. Use what speaks to you.
