She Wolfe Tarot... Worth the Hype?

She Wolfe is getting harder to find these days. The creator still has third edition copies on her site, but they cost quite a bit.

Just so you know, the newer fourth edition has different energy - they changed some of the cards. There are numerous instances of nudity throughout the deck, which limits where I can use it. Works fine for home readings or with certain friends, but definitely not something I’d bring to public events.

Might want to grab it if you’re interested. Decks have a way of disappearing - happened to me with Reclaim Oracle.

She Wolfe collected dust on my shelf forever. I bought it for the art, but never used it. My friend grabbed it one day and did this reading that actually made sense. Now I’m thinking I should give it another shot.

I’d take screenshots of a few cards first and run a simple three-card test. If it feels off, skip it.

I joined this forum after 6 years — entering my 7th year reading…and I am only now “officially” studying Tarot more in-depthly (that’s also how I found this post). Hello!

The She Wolfe was my third deck and 3 happens to be my favourite number… and synchronistically the deck has been my best bud on my Tarot path. I found it through the first astrologer I’d ever had a session with (she’s amazing)—who then shared a picture of one of the cards on her Instagram. It was love at first sight. I think by that point, I was a year along the path and knew Tarot was for me—so I was still exploring to find the best deck suited to my learning style/my heart/my vibe/what I need and missing (water and earth). And it found meeee!

First of all, hype-shmype— do you like it? If you like it and if you’re drawn to it, explore and follow that path. I think a lot of us deny desires/the voices in our heads by listening too much to the noise/the naysayers. Does it make your heart sing?

Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but it’s a worthy investment if you are dedicated to self-knowledge and healing. I agree with those who warned about counterfeit decks. I buy from online indie tarot stores, and there are many all over the world.

I’m quite a fiery/air sun person and so it’s funny because I never thought it was a feisty deck until recently as I am doing my studies. I actually used to call it “SOFT” my “warm and fuzzy” deck. Maybe, it’s not only my fire but my advanced age? Whenever I have readings with friends, I always ask them if they need some watery/softness and let them choose the decks and this is the one that’s chosen the most.

However, very recently, I found out (also synchronistically) that it is based on the Thoth system and I think that’s where its edges and “I don’t fuck around” energy comes from. The origins of the system it was based on. Overall, it has “Divine Femine” / Yin energy and each card is linked to a very powerful / affirmative mantra that I find so helpful.

Overall, I believe it’s quite a supportive deck for those who are truly ready to meet themselves and their shadows. If you are still quite new on the path, I would explore a bit more, but I would put it in your cart! I believe that things show up when we are ready, it’s just a matter of taking that step/leap.

If you have any more questions about the deck, I’d be happy to share more about my experience with it.
