Tarot Cards: Witchcraft or Not?

I went down a whole rabbit hole after getting into tarot. First it was just the cards, then I picked up some runes, got a pendulum, even tried scrying a few times. The cards kind of opened the door to all these other methods I didn’t know about before. Now I use different ones depending on my mood or what I’m trying to figure out.

A lot of people think tarot cards are all about witchcraft, but that’s not reeaaaly the right term.

You can use them just for self-reflection without any spiritual stuff involved. It really depends on how you approach them. Some people see them as mystical tools, others just use them to think about their lives. The cards themselves don’t have any inherent magical properties - they’re just cards with pictures on them.

There are people who get angry when I say that, but that’s because they tend to lack the ability to take any real responsibility for their life or their choices. They want to be able to blame bits of cardboard.

This isn’t to say the Tarot isn’t an incredible tool, but in the same way a book is just a collection of papers and ink unless you use it properly.
