I’ve watched so many people wrestle with wanting recognition for all their study and practice. Reminds me of similar debates in other spiritual communities. Certificates don’t prove you can actually read well.
I’m with the American Tarot Association myself.
They stick to education rather than certification, plus they have solid ethical guidelines. That approach sits better with me. The weird part is how most certification programs center around specific teachers or their personal systems instead of coming from established, neutral organizations.
Sure, some offer good learning experiences, but I wonder if people are after knowledge or just want something to show for their work. At least Brigit’s upfront about her methods and what’s on her platform.
