Tarot for the Wild Soul with Lindsay Mack is good for commutes. Heads up though - you might get the urge to pull over and shuffle your deck while driving. I tried the Biddy Tarot podcast but it started to feel like every episode was just a lead-up to buying one of their courses. The info is good for beginners, but the sales pitch got a bit old for me.
Yeah, most YouTube tarot channels are pretty fluffy. Tarot Bytes is good for quick learning the host keeps episodes under 40 minutes and covers really specific topics. She had one on reading reversals that was better than any video I’d seen on them.
Down at the Crossroads mixes tarot with folk magic. Their recent series on psychic fairs has actual audio from live readings, booth costs, and one reader who made $3K in a weekend.
Hermitix Podcast has a series on ‘Meditations on the Tarot.’ Probably my favorite one.
If you just want something that feels like you’re hanging out with friends who love tarot, I’d say Wildly Tarot. They just chat about cards, decks, and mysticism. It’s super casual and they have a great dynamic. Not really structured lessons, just good conversation.
Maybe start with one episode of Arcane Dames. To be honest, there are so many podcasts out there, and you might resonate with some and not others, but I would say pick an episode with a title that sounds interesting and give it 10 minutes. If you like their vibe then you’ll probably like their other episodes as well.
Thanks for this thread, I’ve added several to my own playlists already. Got a lot of new content to binge this week.
I know I’m coming a little late to this, but I didn’t see OMG Tarot! or Voices in the River mentioned. But thanks for all the other great suggestions (already added to my queue). Voices in the River isn’t strictly about tarot, but she does a reading as the basis of each episode and I have gotten some really great epiphanies about certain cards from it. It’s a really soothing, especially on the way home from work.
