All of them. Too many. Dozens of decks by this point.

My husband says I have a problem. I say I’ve just ordered another one…

I don’t think you have to worry until you get over 30…

I have nine decks right now, and I swap them based on the season.

Spring is for my garden-themed oracle, and in winter, I use a dark gothic deck I picked up at an estate sale. I started a deck journal to note which decks work best with different moon phases.

I tried building a fort with my tarot collection once. Turns out 50+ decks don’t stack well. I mostly stick with three anyway, my beat-up Rider-Waite that I’ve had forever, this indie deck with cool art, and one with shiny holographic backs. Can’t stop shuffling that last one even though I never actually read with it.

After I got my fifth deck, it became more about collecting than actually reading with them.

I’ve got all these decks on my shelf now… but I only really use three of them. Started doing daily pulls with the other decks so they’re not just decoration. Kind of sucks when you buy an expensive deck and it never feels right compared to the ones you’ve had forever.

having too many decks can lead to a cluttered feeling that makes it hard to connect with the reading itself. There are moments when I spend more energy deciding which deck to use than actually focusing on what the cards are saying.

I limit readings to a single deck now, but sometimes I work in another. Most of my decks are just for collection now.

I have 13… going on 14.

28 decks is starting to be a storage problem. Tried photo boxes, bookshelves, all that. I ended up using an old suitcase I found. Works better than I expected since I can organize by size, and clients always comment on it when they come over.

hey everyone. if you’re new to this, don’t feel like you need to buy every deck that catches your eye. yeah they’re beautiful and it’s tempting.

Everyone’s sharing their deck counts but we’re all avoiding the money talk. I literally survived on ramen for a week after dropping $85 on a limited edition deck. The worst part? I made a whole spreadsheet to track my tarot spending. Color-coded it by embarrassment level because apparently I hate myself.

Hey all, jumping in about deck maintenance. It’s one of those things nobody really talks about when you’re starting out. Regular cleansing has become a habit for me. And yeah, making sure cards don’t stick together is important - I’ve ruined a couple cards that way.

The protection aspect can be tricky. Between potential spills and sun damage, there’s a lot to watch out for. Plus when you keep buying more decks, finding space for everything becomes its own challenge.

I only have 6 decks at the moment because I’ve gifted some of mine away to friends.

Not gonna lie, I went from ‘I’ll just get one deck’ to owning 23.

There’s something about finding a deck that clicks with you, the artwork, the energy, certain cards that seem to jump out. My wallet’s definitely feeling it but each deck has its own personality. Plus different decks seem to work better for different types of readings, so that’s my excuse.

Oh god, the package look. I get it every time. My partner calls them my ‘paper children’ now. I mean. they’re not wrong.

I’ve got about 12 decks now, though I keep telling myself I’ll stop at 10! It’s funny how certain decks seem to know when you need them, while others just sit there for months.

I’ve got nine decks, which is kind of funny since you brought up the Nine of Pentacles. Been collecting since I was a teenager. My first deck is pretty beat up now but I can’t bring myself to throw it away. Just got a hand-painted one last month that was stupidly expensive, but whatever, I wanted it.

So I’ve been experimenting with using multiple decks in the same reading. I have way too many decks (17 at last count) and figured why not use more than one at a time.

Been pairing my Universal Waite with the Wild Unknown lately. The contrast between the classic symbolism and the minimalist nature imagery creates some interesting dynamics. Sometimes the cards seem to contradict each other, which actually opens up more layered discussions with clients. Still figuring out the best way to lay them out though. Side by side? One on top of the other? Haven’t decided yet.
