Threads of Fate Tarot First Impressions - Anyone Else Find It Intense?

Just unboxed my Threads of Fate Weaver deck (Journeyer edition) and the artwork by Brit June and Blaire Porter is really something. Usually, I really like one or two cards in a deck, but with this… I think they all have a great quality feeling to them.

I did an Interview spread to get acquainted with it, and I’m getting some pretty intense messages that I wasn’t expecting. The cards seem to be saying this deck won’t sugarcoat things and wants to work on shadow aspects and deep transformation. Kind of caught me off guard since I bought it mainly for the aesthetic. Thought it would just be one for the collection but I can see myself heavily using it.

I pulled The Tower in the “what I need to know about working with you” position. Combined with the other cards, it feels like this deck is ready to shake things up in my practice.

Has anyone else worked with this deck? Is it always this direct with its messages?

Hadn’t heard of it, so looked it up… it’s… alright? Nothing amazing. Our whole decks section has so many fantastic decks that when I see a mid one like this it’s just… fine.

Looks like another generic deck shop to me. No harm in using it, but nothing anywhere near the importance of something that really changes how a thread goes like some of these decks.

No judgement on anyone who likes them but it doesn’t do anything that dozens of others don’t do cheaper.

Tower energy can seem pretty intense at first. Take a moment, breathe. It’s like the threads of fate weave destruction into creation in a beautiful way. Try sleeping with the deck under your pillow for a few nights. Some people have dreams that seem to predict things or suddenly understand card combinations they struggled with before.

Yeah that Tower pull is your deck telling you to brace yourself. Threads of Fate changes based on moon phases. During dark moon the messages get harsh - pure shadow work stuff. Full moon readings are still direct but more about seeing things clearly than tearing them down. When you get those Tower moments, try using black tourmaline. Helps keep you grounded when everything feels chaotic.

The deck can be pretty intense with its messages. what it’s trying to tell you right now? Could be worth looking at where you’re at in life and seeing if anything connects.

I pulled cards for my job change last year with Threads of Fate.

The reading was deep about my soul’s path and all that, but I was sitting there like ‘okay but should I update my LinkedIn or not?’ Threads of Fate just doesn’t work for career stuff when you need actual advice. You probably need a different deck for practical questions.

I pulled the Soul Work card the other day, the one with the bee and diamond design. The gold foil honeycomb pattern really caught my eye. Had a chance to use it during a group reading circle. The bee symbolism made me think about how working on ourselves affects the people around us too. The diamond in the center is interesting, it’s both hidden and visible at the same time. Reminds me of those truths that are staring us in the face but we need something big to happen before we actually notice them.

Yeah I love this deck too! Looks like the creators are working on a phone app now instead of making more physical decks. Kinda bummed about that honestly. I’m glad I got the Threads of Fate deck when I did, might be one of their last actual card decks.

The Threads of Fate deck has some cool combinations. Been trying to figure out what Tower paired with the Fool means. Maybe it’s about new beginnings during chaotic times? Still learning this deck.

Interesting point about the non-gendered major arcana. some publishers are really focusing on inclusivity in their latest releases. The cardstock quality on these alternative decks seems to be just as good as the standard ones, with the same finish and durability.

I picked up The Wild Unknown because I liked the minimalist art. Turns out, it’s one of the most insightful decks in my collection. It really connects with me, which was unexpected. It’s funny how some decks just click with you on a deeper level.

The deck is pretty intense. The shadow work focus can be too much if you’re just starting out and still figuring out basic tarot stuff. I’d suggest taking breaks with it and using other decks too so you don’t get burned out.
